Welp.
I should have realized it sooner. I mean, really. I work with books all day. Math and science and educational technology books. For teachers. I’m happiest when I’m reading the manuscripts.
I like browsing through our 500 different journals and reading the latest research in business, communication and history.
But it wasn’t until I said “Oh man, I seriously want to go!” to this:
The Charles University Department of German Studies is two seminars in English this week and all students are welcome to attend!
Wednesday, November 7th - Lecture with Jan Assmann: Exodus – History and Memory (in English) in cooperation with the Prague Centre for Jewish Studies
Thursday, November 8th - Lecture with Aleida Assmann
From Collective Violence to a Common Future: Four Models for Dealing with a Traumatic Past (in English) in cooperation with the Institute of the Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic
…that I realized I was too deep. I am…a nerd. And I also really need to live in Prague.
So there’s that.
