Our (not really a) Wedding and other related activities, part II
I never thought I would one day find myself challenging someone’s hold on a wedding location. Not even a year ago, or two months ago. I mean, let’s be honest… it’s kind of a dick move. Especially for a justice of the peace wedding (which is, for all intents and purposes, an ELOPEMENT). But, nevertheless, my contract and deposit via cashier’s check are on their way to the events office at the San Francisco City Hall (yeah, they have their own events department, so clearly this place has become big with part-ays). This will, effectively, kick some poor, unsuspecting girl out of her dream wedding spot. Don’t worry, she’s not completely defenseless: she has 48 hours to return her contract and deposit. If she does? I’ll be relegated to the Mayor’s Balcony. Tough, right?
But the crème de la crème of this building is clearly the North Gallery on the fourth floor of the building. It has these huge picture windows and you’re thiiiisclose to the gorgeous ceiling architecture. If you know me, you know I have a boner for really amazing architecture. Probably blame living in Prague. Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that I’m excited for either place because I get to marry a truly great guy in my favorite city in America.
Challenge accepted.
(Go forth and Google all the San Francisco City Hall weddings. You’re welcome.)
