Crowdsource: Weddings
I’m having a little trouble deciding what time of day our California reception should be. After writing out the pros and cons, I’m leaning towards the daytime reception, but can be persuaded if anyone has been to some really kick ass night receptions.
Noon
Pros
Good Weather (probably)
Light and bright
Sandwiches (preferred food) an appropriate option around lunch
Can have a dinner with a smaller group of family that night, then go out to bars with everyone later
Cute things look cute in the day (don’t you dare mock me)
Cons
Need to decorate the shit out of the place
A long time before we go to the bars later that night
Evening
Pros
Twinkle lights
Night is an appropriate time to get your drink on
Don’t really need to decorate because it will be dark and no one will see anything anyways
Can go out in Downtown right after
Cons
The only light will really be from the twinkle lights
Sandwiches not really dinner appropriate
Need to get some sort of coffee bar to keep people warm
Speaking of, will probably be really cold
Thoughts?

You have more Noon pros and more Evening cons…so the analyst in me wants to say Noon… but the damn twinkle lights put me back on the fence. Gosh I’m so helpful aren’t I?
