I could have predicted from the get-go that I would label Stitchfix as hit or miss for me. I’m the girl who, upon finding an article of clothing she likes, buys three of the same for her closet. I’m not exactly adventurous. I’m also picky.
So… I’m not exactly a stylist’s dream, I realize this…but I appreciate the effort for my first stich. I get the idea of what they were trying to do for me but most of the pieces were unfortunately a miss. My style profile mostly classified me as a mix of classic and preppy, with some residual electicity (I AM AN ENGLISH MAJOR THEREFORE I PAID FOR THE RIGHT TO MAKE UP WORDS) left over from high school (when I was braver.)
Weston Crossfront Belted Dress-that weird sleeved, blue-printed dress from willow & clay is actually really lovely—I’m going to keep it. It’s like a dress from anthropologie that I didn’t have to weave through candles, mugs and aprons to find. Yay. $88.00
Leandra Demin Buttondown Shirt- This is from kut from the kloth who I have heard great things about but I figure if I haven’t jumped on the denim shirt train by now, there is no hope for me. Plus, the dark denim reads ‘denim trying to be dressy’ which terrifies me. $68.00
Orinda Stretch Banded Leggings- $48.00 for plain, black leggings. No. Just… no.
Robyn Bird Print Lace Trim Blouse- Sweet…but the lace around the color (not to mention the bird print) is just not for me. I’m not that cute. This fit is really nice though. $68.00.
Star Print Scarf (not pictured)- This was a thin, boring, charcoal grey sweater with tiny tan stars on it from Pretty Persuasions. I’m more of pashmina girl…thin scarves aren’t really my thing.
So, yeah. Clothes and stuff.
